A matrix method for force and moment analysis on a tillage tool

, : A matrix method for force and moment analysis on a tillage tool. Transactions of the ASAE 23(5): 1072-1075

A matrix procedure is described for assessing the three-dimensional forces and moments acting on a tillage tool. A schematic is shown of a dynamometer with 6 force transducers for which 6 force and moment equations are given. It was found during verification tests that agreement between applied load and the observed load was not satisfactory, and that an improved procedure was required to determine these forces and moments.
