A method for analysis of free amino acids in paddy soils and a study of their behavior during rice growth

, : A method for analysis of free amino acids in paddy soils and a study of their behavior during rice growth. Journal of the Science of Soil and Manure, Japan 51(2): 131-135

A method for analysis of free amino acids in paddy soils is proposed, involving extraction of fresh soil with 10% ammonium carbonate solution and analysis with an automatic amino acid analyser. Of the numerous amino acids extracted from paddy soil during the growing period of rice, the majority were components of common proteins.
