A method for calculating the optimal host-parasite ratio for mass rearing of Trichogramma

, : A method for calculating the optimal host-parasite ratio for mass rearing of Trichogramma. Kolichestvennye Metody v Ekologii Zhivotnykh: 92-94

Mathematical formulae are given for the calculation of the optimal host: parasite ratio for the mass rearing of Trichogramma spp., on the basis of laboratory studies in the USSR using T. euproctidis (Gir.) and the following 2 parameters: the number of females obtained from a single parasitised egg of the Angoumois grain moth (Sitotroga cerealella (Ol.)); and the number of female parasites obtained from a single parasitised female of S. cerealella.
