A method for controlling stumps and root suckers of undesirable trees and bushes

, : A method for controlling stumps and root suckers of undesirable trees and bushes. Comptes Rendus de l' Academie Bulgare des Sciences 35(3): 499-500

Shoot and root suckers from felled trees or bushes were cut back and 15-16 cm long rubber or plastic tubes were slipped over the stumps. A herbicide poured into the tubes was readily absorbed by the stumps and translocated into connected parts. The treatment was safer and caused less environmental pollution than spraying or dusting.
