A method for isolating Coprinus cinereus mycelia from manure heaps

, : A method for isolating Coprinus cinereus mycelia from manure heaps. Transactions of the British Mycological Society 75(1): 161-162

Water extracts of horse manure (fresh dung or old manure heaps) were plated on a minimal medium of pH 6.8, containing one amino acid (asparagine) and one vitamin (thiamin), and supplemented with streptomycin and chloramphenicol, and furfuraldehyde. Plates were incubated at 37 C in the dark.
