A method for mass rearing the aphid predator Anthocoris nemorum

, : A method for mass rearing the aphid predator Anthocoris nemorum. Annals of Applied Biology, 993: 217-223

A method developed in studies in the UK for rearing Anthocoris nemorum (L.), a potential control agent for Phorodon humuli (Schr.) on hops, in order to provide large numbers of the predator with predetermined age structures for mass release in the field is described. The method is designed to minimise culture maintenance, the components and materials used being readily obtained as, or modified from, stock items.
