, : A method for quantitative evaluation of yeasts in forest litter. Moscow University Soil Science Bulletin 35(1): 40-46

The following conditions are recommended: a) an initial representative sample composed of litter specimens from beneath the crowns, near the trunks, and in the area between crowns; b) special techniques for desorption of the yeast cells in preparing the material for inoculation; c) inoculation at 5 to 10 deg C for three weeks, counting the colonies at intervals.
