A method for testing internal bond of particleboard

, : A method for testing internal bond of particleboard. Wood and Fiber 14(2): 159-161

A circular sample is tested in shear by use of a hand dynamometer (torque wrench). The shearing position may be adjusted to test the bond strength at different positions throughout the thickness of the sample. A comparison of results showed a good correlation with a standard test method, ASTM D 1037-72a.
