A method for the laboratory testing of the susceptibility of red clover to eelworm (Ditylenchus dipsaci Kuhn)

, : A method for the laboratory testing of the susceptibility of red clover to eelworm (Ditylenchus dipsaci Kuhn). Biuletyn Instytutu Hodowli i Aklimatyzacji Roslin (142): 31

A technique for multiplying the pathogen and preparing an inoculum is described. The inoculum, in the form of an aqueous suspension, is dripped on to the leaves of eight-day-old seedlings grown under sterile conditions. The percentage of damaged seedlings, 30 days later, serves as a measure of susceptibility.
