A method for the large-scale determination of changes in the arable weed population under modern agronomic practice

, : A method for the large-scale determination of changes in the arable weed population under modern agronomic practice. Proceedings EWRS Symposium on Theory and Practice of the Use of Soil Applied Herbicides, Versailles, 1981: 249-257

Weed populations of the lowland plains of the German Democratic Republic were surveyed in 1974-75 and 1980-81. Sampling procedures are described (see also WA 30, 3965). Over the survey period, Veronica hederifolia, Stellaria media and Galium aparine were the most dominant species, while V. persica, V. triphyllos and Viola arvensis increased in severity.
