A method of comparing the performance of grass conditioning mechanisms

, : A method of comparing the performance of grass conditioning mechanisms. A method of comparing the performance of grass conditioning mechanisms: 105 pp

Field and laboratory experiments were carried out to investigate the potential of rotary plastic brushes for conditioning grass, using 2 types of brushes in 4 machine configurations (single brush and tufted concave, twin brushes counter rotating, twin brushes co-rotating and twin intermeshing tufted brushes). The power requirement of each conditioning system was shown to be related to crop throughput.
