A method of diagnosing winter-hardy genotypes in apple

, : A method of diagnosing winter-hardy genotypes in apple. USSR Patent: (741828)

In order to accelerate the final evaluation of hardiness in varieties, and to increase its accuracy, the reaction to normal daily fluctuations in temperature is determined, hardiness being evaluated by the magnitude of the coefficient of correlation between the ratio of free and bound RNA in the inner bark of one-year-old trees and the average range of daily air temperature readings on the day, and the day before, the analysis is made.
