A method of exclusion chromatography to obtain unitar kappa -casein

, : A method of exclusion chromatography to obtain unitar kappa -casein. Egyptian Journal of Dairy Science 9(2): 129-135

A kappa -casein rich fraction is obtained from acid casein dissolved in urea by addition of sulphuric acid and centrifugation, followed by addition of ammonium sulphate to the supernatant. 150 mg of this fraction is dissolved in 10 ml 10 mM Tris/6.6 mM citrate/6 M urea buffer (pH 8.6) and filtered through a column of Sephacryl S-200 superfine equilibrated with the same buffer.
