A method of improving the recipe for semisynthetic nutrient media for rearing insect plant pests, Amathes c-nigrum L. (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

, : A method of improving the recipe for semisynthetic nutrient media for rearing insect plant pests, Amathes c-nigrum L. (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae). Zoologicheskii Zhurnal 59(5): 771-776

The necessity in recent years of controlling insect pests by biological means has rendered the development of methods of laboratory rearing, including diets, of prime importance. During work in the USSR on the development of an optimum semisynthetic diet for Xestia c-nigrum (L.) (Amathes c-nigrum), methods of mathematical planning of experiments and modelling were taken into account.
