A relationship between growth inhibition and abscisic acid content by mechanical stimulation in rice

, : A relationship between growth inhibition and abscisic acid content by mechanical stimulation in rice. Japanese Journal of Crop Science 49(4): 615-616

In 2 rice grown in pots, tactile treatment for a period of 30 s twice a day for 30 days increased ABA content by 52 and 98%, decreased grain yield from 10.1 and 10.3 g/pot to 5.5 and 6.2 g/pot, resp. and also decreased fresh wt. and plant ht.
