, : A study on cutaneous leishmaniasis in Riyadh District. Fauna of Saudi Arabia Volume 2, 1980: 419-426

Twenty-seven patients with oriental sore (Leishmania tropica) from Riyadh and surrounding areas (Diriyah, Durma and Thamamah) in Saudia Arabia were examined. The distribution, number and type of lesions, and the incubation periods, are tabulated. Of 527 cases from hospital records, 51.8% were parasitologically positive on smear examination.
