A study on the nitrogen metabolism and energy digestibility with the Korean native goats fed acacia leaf hay

, : A study on the nitrogen metabolism and energy digestibility with the Korean native goats fed acacia leaf hay. Korean Journal of Dairy Science 1(1): 35-44

In a 3 X 3 Latin square trial 9 Korean native goats were given acacia leaf hay either unsupplemented or supplemented with a commercial mixed feed or wheat bran. Although there was no significant effect of a supplement on the intakes of nitrogen and energy, the digestibilities of DM and organic matter were significantly greater and the intake of acacia significantly less with a supplement than without.
