Brushland fire-management policies: a cross-impact simulation of southern California

, : Brushland fire-management policies: a cross-impact simulation of southern California. Environmental Management 5(6): 521-529

UW-KSIM, a cross-impact simulation language, is described as a potentially useful technique for assessing the consequences of management policies. Trends resulting from various interactions between the members of a set of variables are estimated. As an example, a simulation is given of the likely effects of (a) a 20-yr rotation burn policy and (b) a fire exclusion policy in southern California.

The relationship between neuraminic acid and mucoproteins are discussed.
