Dietary recommendations in Norway

, : Dietary recommendations in Norway. Naringsforskning 22(4): 369-370

The State Nutrition Council is responsible for issuing dietary recommendations for Norway, based now on the lower and more realistic FAO/WHO recommendations rather than on the USA Recommended Dietary Allowances. A sensible diet appropriate for Norwegian conditions, aimed at maintaining good health and changing existing eating patterns as little as possible is the objective. Other than anaemia there is no health problem in Norway from deficiency of essential nutrients.
