Effect of catecholamines on the bovine fetal ruminal wall

, : Effect of catecholamines on the bovine fetal ruminal wall. Archivos de Medicina Veterinaria, Chile 12(2): 252-257

Epinephrine, norepinephrine or isoprotorenol were tested on strips of ruminal wall from bovine fetuses with fetal ages ranging up to nine months. A dose-dependent effect could not be clearly established, since the strips responded by relaxation or contraction, or failed to respond. With increasing fetal age up to month seven, relaxation increasingly predominated, while at term the response was inconstant.
