, : Evaluation of controlled release nitrogen fertilizers on cabbage and onions. Journal of the Rio Grande Valley Horticultural Society 34: 81-87

Methylene urea (MU) at 60-150 lb N/acre, and sulphur-coated SCU-3 or SCU-4 at 120-150 lb N/acre were applied at various times to Hybrid Snibel cabbage and Texas Grano 502 yellow onion plots, and compared with ammonium sulphate application at 50-240 lb N/acre. After 31/2 months leaf N contents of both crops were proportional to inorganic soil N levels during early plant development.
