Investigation of steroids in the trematode Fasciola hepatica

, : Investigation of steroids in the trematode Fasciola hepatica. Meditsinskaya Parazitologiya i Parazitarnye Bolezni (5): 69-72

Cholesterine, 11-dehydrocorticosterone, corticosterone and cortisol were identified in homogenates of Fasciola hepatica by thin-layer chromatography with 3 types of solvent combinations. The remaining steroid spots remained unidentified although spot No.4 (Rf=0.61) obtained only with chloroform-methanol-water was similar to the standard for aldosterone.
