Investigation on the growth of vegetation in some Danish streams

, : Investigation on the growth of vegetation in some Danish streams. Beretning Danske Hedelskab Forsoegsvirksomheden (Nr. 18): 84

From 1972 to '76 a study was made of 3 streams in West Jutland which were naturally poor in nutrients but of which some stretches were very rich in nutrients (principally P) as a result of the influx of water from trout farms and municipal waste. Weed growth was studied in relation to nutrient levels and the interaction of weed biomass with photosynthesis and oxygen levels was considered.
