The paper first discusses marketing from the farmer viewpoint, emphasizing that good marketing is important for successful farm management. Institutional and pricing arrangements for Manitoba farm products are then reviewed. Alternatives for forward selling are discussed and a few cases of possible futures trading situations are presented.
