Mechanical preparation in the production of feeds. New possibilities for grinding

, : Mechanical preparation in the production of feeds. New possibilities for grinding. Muhle + Mischfuttertechnik 116(49): 679-682

Problems connected with the performance of the various forms of comminution equipment employed in the production of compound feeds and in the quality control of the milled product are discussed. An improved type of hammer mill, the Model DFZC Zonal, available in two sizes, has been developed. The casing of the mill can be easily released to replace the beaters. By operating at low speed, 1500 rev/min, noise is considerably reduced, and the specific output for a range of grits increased.
