Mechanism of resistance to pyrazophos in Pyricularia oryzae

, : Mechanism of resistance to pyrazophos in Pyricularia oryzae. Netherlands Journal of Plant Pathology 86(5): 251-258

The resistant strs. were isolated from sectors in fungal colonies on a medium containing pyrazophos. In contrast to the wild str., they did not metabolize pyrazophos into its phosphate analogue and its fungitoxic principle, PP. Results indicate that the mechanism of resistance is not related to a change of the target sites of PP, but rather with inability to convert pyrazophos into PP.
