, : Monitoring first brood froghoppers (Aeneolamia varia saccharina Distant) on sugarcane in Trinidad. Entomology Newsletter, International Society of Sugarcane Technologists (8): 12-13

In Trinidad, Aeneolamia varia var. saccharina (Dist.) has 4 generations a year. The first develops after the onset of the wet season, which begins in May or June. The later generations lay eggs that enter diapause and survive the dry season from January to May and give rise to the first nymphs and adults of the succeeding season.
