On the nature of long-wave fluorescence of photosystem l of higher plants

, : On the nature of long-wave fluorescence of photosystem l of higher plants. Fiziologiya i Biokhimiya Kul' turnykh Rastenii 11(6): 563-573

The origin of the long-wave fluorescence of photosystem l (the band with a max. of 735 nm at 77 deg K) is disputable. The 2 alternative interpretations often mentioned are that (a) the long-wave radiation belongs to the nearest surroundings of the centres, i.e. chlorophyll in antenna form, and (b) the long-wave radiation is from the centres of photosystem l themselves.
