The article examines plans for a wholesale market in southeastern Seoul where fruits, vegetables, fish, livestock, grain, etc. would be handled. Projected demand and daily throughput are estimated, proposed organization and management, location and the economic justification are discussed. Total cost is estimated at US $ 117 million (1981 prices).
