Preliminary report on the hot springs of the state of Chihuahua, Mexico

, : Preliminary report on the hot springs of the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. Geological Society of America, Abstracts with Programs 13(12): p. 109

Nineteen hot springs (T > 30 deg C), 5 hot wells (T > 30 deg C), and 15 warm springs (T = 12-25 deg C) were analyzed in addition to obtaining over 800 previously analyzed samples. Although hot springs are more extensive than earlier reported, most of the springs are in the 25 deg -40 deg C range. The two hottest springs sampled to date are Ojo Caliente (up to 89 deg C; 50 km NW of Ojinaga) and Ojo Del Diablo (56 deg C; 40 km W of Villa Ahumada).
