Research and development impact on sugar cane productivity

, : Research and development impact on sugar cane productivity. Indian Sugar Crops Journal 8(1): 1-6

Expenditures on research and development per ha in different States in India are assessed. It appears that there is no relationship with the trend of productivity in these States. The growth in productivity in sugar-cane has not been uniform; this was due to the rise and fall of the sugar-cane price used for jaggery manufacture.
