Research and development of an automatic sacking device for a combine harvester. I: Automatic sacking devices AP 721 and AP 732

, : Research and development of an automatic sacking device for a combine harvester. I: Automatic sacking devices AP 721 and AP 732. Journal of the Society of Agricultural Machinery, Japan 41(3): 421-427

To avoid the need for the operator of the combine harvester to stop the harvester at intervals to change bags at the sacking off point, or for an assistant to stay at this point, where he would be exposed to much dust, noise and vibration, 5 types of automatic sacking off mechanisms were developed. One of the 2 prototype models described has an auger type bag divider, grain tank with bag opener and a vibrator; a coil spring with a micro switch weighs the grain in the bag.
