Degradation of DM and nitrogen of some typical Swedish concentrates in the rumen of a Swedish Red and White cow was studied with the nylon bag technique. The cow was fed on a daily ration of 4.9 kg hay and 2.1 kg crushed oats or of 2.1 kg hay and 4.9 kg crushed oats. Feeding was twice daily.
