Sip irrigation of an actinidia planting

, : Sip irrigation of an actinidia planting. Informatore Agrario 37(1): 13527-13529

Actinidias grown in central and southern Italy require 800-1000 mm water between May and September. In irrigation trials on a plantation of the cvs Hayward, Abbott, Monty and Bruno, water pumped from a bore hole to a storage tank was siphoned into four 50 mm polyethylene tubes, each of which branched into three narrower lines (32 and 25 mm) to serve three 156 m rows of 26 plants. Each plant was supplied with 40-50 l/h of water from two 1.15 mm outlets tied to the wire supports.
