Studies by ORANA of food consumption from 1977 to 1979

: Studies by ORANA of food consumption from 1977 to 1979. Enquetes de consommation alimentaire de l' ORANA de 1977 a 1979: 29

Results are presented of 5 surveys made by ORANA at 6 places in Senegal for FAO or the World Bank in 1977-79. The samples of 66 to 88 families at each place included wide differences in socioeconomic status, race and geography. The town of Dakar had a population of 800 000, the smaller towns of Louga and Linguere were surveyed together, and the 3 rural surveys were made in the department of Kedougou and the regions of Casamance and Diourbel.
