The effect of glyphosate and surfactant concentrations on quackgrass Agropyron repens (L.) Beauv. control and foliar absorption

, : The effect of glyphosate and surfactant concentrations on quackgrass Agropyron repens (L.) Beauv. control and foliar absorption. Dissertation Abstracts International, B 42(4): 1260

Glyphosate (at 0.56 and 2.22 kg/ha) gave better control of Agropyron repens in the field when applied at low than high vols. (19 vs 234 litres/ha). Further field and growth chamber studies indicated that the performance of glyphosate against A. repens under unfavourable environmental conditions could be improved by increasing the concn. of herbicide and wetter, probably by increasing foliage penetration.
