Chromosome instability in a calf affected by congenital malformation

, : Chromosome instability in a calf affected by congenital malformation. Veterinary Record 112(18): 429-432

High rates of structural chromosome aberrations were associated with increased yields of sister chromatid exchanges (SCE) in metaphase chromosomes of a newborn female calf affected by a congenital malformation. The frequency of abnormal cells was 25% in the abnormal calf, 8% in its dam and 3% in a group of four healthy cows.
