The tourism of the Austrian Tyrol or the mountain of the mountain dwellers

, : The tourism of the Austrian Tyrol or the mountain of the mountain dwellers. Le tourisme au Tyrol autrichien ou la montagne aux montagnards: 718

The book considers whether the model of tourist development in the Austrian Tyrol can be followed in the French Alps. Tourism in the Alps is seen as an alien occupation exhibiting characteristics of the colonial system with the indigenous inhabitants either ignored or confined to subservient employment. In the Austrian Tyrol however, tourism has expanded because it is perfectly integrated with the indigenous community.
