, : Double-blind parallel comparison of sulconazole nitrate, 1% cream and powder, with econazole, 1% cream and powder, in the treatment of cutaneous dermatophytoses. Current Therapeutic Research 35(5): 753-758

Thirty-two adult patients with tinea pedis (19) or tinea cruris (13) due to Epidermophyton floccosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes or T. rubrum participated in this 4-week, double-blind, parallel, randomized clinical trial comparing the efficacy and safety of the combined use of sulconazole nitrate 1% cream and sulconazole powder (14 patients) with that of econazole 1% cream and econazole powder (18). All patients had positive KOH and culture results at the start of the trial.
