, : Excretion of antifungal compounds from cowpea leaves infected with some viruses. Annals of the Phytopathological Society of Japan 49(5): 742-745

Large amounts of antifungal compounds, detected by bioassay with Cladosporium cucumerinum, were excreted from cowpea leaves infected with necrosis-inducing viruses such as cucumber mosaic, alfalfa mosaic and tobacco necrosis and slight amounts from leaves infected systemically with groundnut stunt virus.
