Histochemical modifications of the glycocalyx of the uterine epithelium in the bitch. Changes during the estrous cycle, prepuberty, castration and treatment with ovarian hormones

, : Histochemical modifications of the glycocalyx of the uterine epithelium in the bitch. Changes during the estrous cycle, prepuberty, castration and treatment with ovarian hormones. Gaceta Veterinaria 44(374): 898...912

There was little reaction to periodic acid-Schiff and alcian blue stains in the glycocalyx of the uterine epithelium during anoestrus, but reactivity gradually increased during pro-oestrus, to reach a peak at oestrus and a diminution at metoestrus.
