Seed of New Zealand Nothofagus species: studies of seed weight, viability, shape and the effect of varying stratification periods

, : Seed of New Zealand Nothofagus species: studies of seed weight, viability, shape and the effect of varying stratification periods. New Zealand Journal of Forestry 28(2): 150-162

Data are presented on 82 seedlots of N. fusca, N. menziesii, N. truncata, N. solandri var. solandri and N. solandri var. cliffortioides from localities throughout New Zealand. No correlation was found between altitude or latitude of origin and seed weight or viability. Seed weight was positively correlated with viability.
