Accelerated breakdown of butylate in soils with a history of its use

, : Accelerated breakdown of butylate in soils with a history of its use. Proceedings, North Central Weed Control Conference: 46

In controlled environment studies, 3.4 or 6.8 kg butylate + R-25788 (N,N-diallyl-2,2-dichloroacetamide)/ha gave better control of Echinochloa frumentacea than 3.4 or 6.8 kg EPTC + R-25788/ha on silt loam or loamy sand soils. There was no control with butylate and EPTC after 3 and 5 weeks, resp., on unsterilized soil but both herbicides were effective for at least 6 weeks on sterilized soil.
