Course of infection in rabbits experimentally infected with Trypanosoma evansi

, : Course of infection in rabbits experimentally infected with Trypanosoma evansi. Indian Journal of Parasitology 9(2): 281-282

Two male rabbits were inoculated intraperitoneally with 0.5 ml of blood from a camel naturally infected with T. evansi. Parasitaemia was detected after 15 days in one rabbit and after 45 in the other. No clinical signs were seen before day 30, but thereafter there was a gradual reduction in weight.
