Immuno-enzyme test for progesterone on cow's milk and blood serum, performed with microtitre plates or test strips, and not requiring preliminary extraction

, : Immuno-enzyme test for progesterone on cow's milk and blood serum, performed with microtitre plates or test strips, and not requiring preliminary extraction. Praktische Tierarzt 66(11): 878-884

A microtitre enzyme immunoassay (EIA) test kit and microtitre test strips obtained from Noctech Ltd., Ireland, were applied to samples of milk and serum obtained from two cows once daily during a complete oestrous cycle. The test strips provided an accurate indication of progesterone content in 44 of 52 milk samples and 36 of 40 serum samples.
