The correct botanical nomenclature of north Caucasian myrobalan plums, previously designated P. cerasifera subsp. borealecaucasica, is established by right of priority as subsp. divaricata. Accordingly, a description and Latin diagnosis are presented for the dwarf botanical variety of these plums, P. cerasifera subsp. divaricata var. pumila.
