Leisure counseling for older people

Today's elderly people represent a group with potential for leisure counselling intervention. Counsellors who work with older poeple need a variety of information. The aging process and needs of older people are then reviewed and integrated into major theories of aging. A discussion of the current state of leisure counselling with older people is presented which includes sections on leisure needs and life satisfaction among the elderly, and preventive and remedial uses of leisure counselling.
