Optimum operation of a biogas heat recovery unit

, : Optimum operation of a biogas heat recovery unit. Rapport, Instituut voor Mechanisatie, Arbeid en Gebouwen (57): 18 pp

Taking into account the variations in energy demand over 24 h, the daily running time required of an engine/generator unit driven by biogas with heat recovery is determined for the maximum saving of energy costs. The unit coupled to the public network was more advantageous than the unit operating independently, although the former consumed more gas and wasted more engine heat.
