The DAFRD Project was established in 1978, 20 km north of Dhamar near the village of Risabah. It was set up to conduct agricultural and forestry research and extension relevant to the needs of farmers in the Dhamar governorate of the Yemen Arab Republic. The first study was conducted on the Qa Bakil plain west of Mabar. This study is the second in a series and deals with the Qa Jahran plain.
