Seedling survival and flowering of Rumex obtusifolius L. in various habitats

In 1981-2 the survival, growth and flowering of R. obtusifolius in 4 habitats at Tohoku University farm was investigated. The number of plants decreased rapidly over the summer in the pasture (P), meadow (M) and bare ground (BG) habitats but decreased only slightly in the forest edge (FE) habitat. Root diam. of plants increased most in the BG and M habitats.
